Our Maintenance Program
Bi annual maintenance is recommended by boat lift manufacturers, and required to keep lift in warranty.
Regular inspection and greasing prevents seizing of pulleys and sheaves, which prematurely wears cables and pulleys.
Inspection and adjustment can help prevent bottoming out of lift, which can cause cables to unwind and bind up leading to premature cable failure.
Our 44 point inspection process includes:
- Greasing of all pulleys, bearings and fittings
- Cable, winding and pulley inspection
- Removing cable slack as needed
- Inspection of decking and pilings for wear or impact damage
- Inspection of motor casings
- Leveling check and adjustment of lift if needed
- Inspection of seals on GEM remote to prevent water intrusion
- Checking and tightening of boat lift mounting bolts
- Inspection of aluminum for cracks or corrosion

Our inspection and preventive service helps ensure proper operation of your lift, and helps prevent costly repair items such as:
- Seizing of pulleys – causes noise, premature cable failure and motor failure
- Electrolysis damage to aluminum components due to failing insulator

After our lift was destroyed by a Hurricane, Storm Marine was the only lift company that put us on their wait list. They stayed in constant contact and installed our new lift as soon as our docks were fixed. Jason and his crew were excellent to deal with, even when requesting a few last minute changes. Plus the "Lift Lock" they recommended works great. I strongly recommend contacting them for any new lift quotes or annual maintenance service.

Highly recommend! The team was incredibly professional and honest — no overpromising like some of the larger companies in the area. I called two weeks ago about an issue with my lift poles, and they promptly sent out two techs to take a look. I was originally told it would be about a month before their barge could come out, but they ended up squeezing me in just two weeks later! They got everything done in under an hour, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Reliable, efficient, and easy to work with!

After losing our dock, lift and boat during Hurricane Milton, I was concerned it would take a long time to demo the debris and get a new dock and lift installed. We had several contractors quote us, but decided to use Storm Marine due to their lift locking system and depth of piling placement. We were able to get on their schedule quickly and start the process much earlier than anticipated. I am beyond impressed with the quality, professionalism and customer service that we experience with Storm Marine. Their communication far exceeded our expectations and they always “did what they said they would do”. In an era of contractors taking advantage of their customers, Storm Marine’s honesty, timeliness and quality of construction was a welcome breath of fresh air. The team serviced our boat lift last week and discovered a couple of issues that the installer of our lift had erred on. Cables we rubbing the support beam and a plastic insert between the galvanized and stainless metals was in only 2 of the 4 supports. Also, new straps were put in to replace our 7-year old straps. Todd, Josh and Jacob arrived early for each appointment, were informative and conversational. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants their lift serviced or Seawall redone. We are now on the annual maintenance plan for our lift and feel good knowing our lift is being maintained properly.

Todd’s team could not be more professional friendly and left no evidence of the project being accomplished. In addition, Todd guided us in the selection of the lifts that would be most appropriate for us as well as the placement. We are a very private family, but under the circumstances, we would be more than happy to take phone calls for this company as a referral! there’s a lot of companies out there that are extremely professional and friendly until you hire them and then they’re a nightmare to deal with, but Storm Marine could not be more accessible friendly and their customer service is genuinely second to none.
